Forming a North Idaho Chapter of the Military Order of the Purple Heart

Have you, or a Veteran you know received a Purple Heart for wounds suffered in combat?

The Idaho Division of the Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH) is seeking medal recipients to form a

N. Idaho Chapter of the MOPH. Currently there are two chapters of the organization in Idaho, both in southern Idaho.

American Legion Post 143 has graciously offered to provide a place for the Chapter to meet once it is formed. The MOPH only has one class of membership – Life Member, and lifetime dues are only $50, one-time. Those who need financial assistance can apply to the Idaho Commander and receive help with payment of the one-time dues. If you are interested, or know of another Veteran who might be interested, please contact Len Crosby 208/651-0697 or crosbylenmary@frontier.com

Chartered by Congress in 1958, The Military Order of the Purple Heart is composed of military men and women who received the Purple Heart Medal for wounds suffered in combat. Although our membership is restricted to the combat wounded, we support all veterans and their families with a myriad of nation-wide programs by Chapters and National Service Officers.
